Not long ago, no one would look to internet dating as a method of finding true love. But in this twenty-first century, nothing is impossible.

When I first saw her, the first word that popped into my head was cute. The second was soft--soft skin, soft hair, soft lips. Internet dating was not so bad after all. You could rule out the girls you do not think are cute. You could have your pick out of the hundreds of choices of morsels displayed. Yes, true love is much easier to find in this technological era.

Quickly, I typed out a specially well-thought message to HappyGirly. Then, after spending an hour creating a poem describing her beauty and her lips, I sent it off with a prayer. Will my wish come true? Have I finally found true love?

I eagerly waited for a response. I hoped it would be a speedy reply as the suspense was killing me. One hour passed. One day went by. Then, one week. Then, two weeks. I checked her profile again. She looked as cute as I had remembered. From her profile, I could see that she had been online just recently. Why did she not write to me? Was she so busy? As I started making excuses for her, I suddenly saw her online profile blinking. Yes! She was finally online.

I quickly messaged her.

"Hi HappyGirly! How was your day?

I am Guy88. I wrote to you two weeks ago and was wondering why you did not reply? Have you been busy? I hope you are taking care of yourself. It would hurt me deeply if you get sick.

You look very pretty. I especially like your delectable soft lips and fair skin. I hope you do not mind but can you send me your photos? Everyone else pales in comparison to you.

I would also like to get to know you better. Can you give me your number? I want to assure you I am not a jerk or a stalker. I am a gentleman looking for true love. I think you are the one for me.

I sent it off. I felt confident that she would reply as soon as she received it. Who wouldn't? I sounded confident and I even wrote her a poem!

A minute later, she logged off. Hm ... finding true love online was not as easy as I thought it would be.
